Time & Location

BSRA Boathouse, 405 Ohio St, Buffalo, NY 14204, USA
About the event
BSRA's Adult Learn to Row program is welcome to adults of all ages and genders. Each Session consists of is 3 practices, 2-hours each practice. The first practice is all on land, first indoors learning the proper rowing stroke on Concept2 Indoor Rowers, followed by a tour of our Boathouse and the equipment. We then practice carrying then rowing shell and getting in and out of it on the dock. The second practice has a quick review of the first day and then we are on the water for the remainder of the practice. The third practice is all on the water. If the weather is not suited to on-the-water rowing, we will cancel and add on a make up day.
Each Session is independent from the other, however if participants want to continue learning and join the following Session, the coaches will do their best to accommodate and skip over the indoor portion. Instruction on the Indoor Rowers is extremely important to understand and practice the rowing stroke so we do encourage our participants to join River Row Studio's classes in addition to Adult Learn to Row. Head over to www.riverrowstudio.com to check out their offerings and discounts. Rowing Basics Program through May is the class that complements Learn to Row the best.
Other details for participants:
